Can I control my air-con or ceiling fan using the Google Home App after pairing them with the Near smart infrared universal remote controls?
Following trials with popular home electronics including Daikin air conditioners, we discovered that numerous devices could only be remotely controlled through the Near app, not the Google Home app, particularly when the appliance was paired using RF mode. Notably, air conditioners remain the sole household appliance consistently recognized by the Google Home app. As such, we recommend using this smart home device with the Near app and only use Google Home app and voice commands for air-con controls.
Are Near smart home products compatible with the Tuya app, Smart Life app, Tuya hub, or hubs from other brands?

Our commitment to compatibility is guaranteed exclusively within our smart home ecosystem. However, it's worth noting that Near's smart home ecosystem leverages Tuya's technology, a platform well-known to most consumers in Singapore. This means, in theory, Near's smart home products should be compatible with both the Tuya & Smart Life apps and generic Tuya Hubs. We've observed numerous instances where customers have successfully connected Near's smart lights and switches to non-Near Tuya Hubs. While these cases are promising, we cannot assure universal compatibility with these apps and hubs, and we are not liable for any instances where they do not work together. Consequently, we cannot offer refunds for such compatibility issues.
