Set up the Smart Life App

SmartLife is the companion app that pairs with your Tuya-compatible NEAR devices. Follow the four steps below and you'll be running scenes in minutes.

Step 1 — Download the SmartLife app

Step 2 — Create an account with your email

We do not recommend logging in with third party options i.e. via your Google or Apple accounts to avoid issues while inviting users across zones. Accounts registered after SmartLife version 6.3 will be assigned to the newly added Singapore server.

Step 3 — Create a home and add rooms

Give your home a name, set the location, and tick the rooms you want. You can always add or rename rooms later.

Step 4 — Add users to your home

There are two ways to invite family members. Both live under Home icon → Home Management → Add Member.

Method 1: Add a registered account directly

Tap Add Member, choose App account, and enter the email of a person who already has a SmartLife account. Set their role: - Administrator: can manage devices, rooms and smart settings. - Common member: can use devices and smart scenes.

Method 2: Send an invitation code\

Press the “home icon” on the top left then “Home Management”. Select your home, press “Add Member” and choose “More”.

Whatsapp the invitation code to the invitee with a registered account. Follow the instructions and you’re all set.

You're all set
